Media scholar Emiel Martens speaks about the heteronormative sex culture. Gay sex, trans porn, or someone who lives out a foot fetish – we do not see it on the Dutch television. At most, such issues are addressed in a talk show as an alternative social phenomenon, but we never see the actual act on the screen. Why don’t we see anything on TV of all the kinds of sex that we practice – and why do we see them all on the internet?
